ENGLISH CORNER, CON LINDA JIMÉNEZ – This week we are celebrating Purim, so we thought you’d like to hear a Purim story. Mark Binder is an author and storyteller who lives in Providence, R.I. He is the founder of Light Publications, an independent publishing company. Mark co-created Bright Night Providence, and founded The Real Fun Theater Company and the American Story Theater. He has worked as the editor of magazines, designed books, and produced award-winning books and audios.
His book, A Hanukkah Present, was the finalist for the National Jewish Book Award for Family Literature. He has written over two dozen books and published more than 200 original short stories in a variety of magazines, newspapers and websites . “Dressing Up: A Short Story”, is an excerpt from his serial The Council of Wise Women. It was published in the March 21, 2008 issue of the Jewish Daily Forward.
