C. Vicki Gold, PT, MA, is currently retired from her more than 50 years as a practicing physical therapist, educator, and presenter. Her background, aside from her traditional medical training, has been rich in the area of mind-body well-being. Her trainings and practices have included yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, and Alexander and Feldenkrais techniques. The founder of Thera-Fitness, Vicki is an expert in helping people optimize their physical and even mental abilities with her ABC Mind-Body System. In her new book, Aging Safely, Wisely, and Well, Vicki offers valuable mind-body knowledge, strategies, and techniques—including contributions from other professionals on topics such as: maintaining balance, preventing falls, managing with osteoporosis, making nutrition a priority, aging in place, and more— all to help older adults transform the ways they move through life.
