ENGLISH CORNER, CON LINDA JIMÉNEZ – This week’s trivia question: How many recordings has ELI Talks done so far?
ELI Talks began in 2012 at the North American Jewish Day School Conference as a production of The AVI CHAI Foundation. It produces short video talks modeled on the popular TED Talks and is a platform for inspired Jewish ideas, including videos, Moth-style short stories of today’s Jews, podcasts, curricula and source sheets, and live events. ELI Talks became a part of My Jewish Learning in 2019.
Dr. Sharon Weiss-Greenberg is Director of Education Partnerships for My Jewish Learning. She is the former Director of Development and Communications at ELI Talks and former Executive Director of the Jewish Orthodox Feminist Alliance (JOFA). Sharon also has served as the Rosh Moshava (Head of Camp) at Camp Stone, as the first Orthodox woman chaplain at Harvard University, and as a day school educator. She earned her doctorate at New York University. Sharon is an alumna of the Wexner Fellow/Davidson Scholarship graduate program and a Schusterman ROI Member. She studied at The Drisha Institute for Jewish Education and received her B.A. and M.A. from Yeshiva University.
