Genocides in History, with Prof. Hernando Valencia Villa
ENGLISH CORNER, CON LINDA JIMÉNEZ – This week’s trivia question: What are the four kinds of groups included in the 1948 Genocide Convention’s definition of genocide?
Dr. Hernando Valencia Villa has a PhD in Law from Yale University. In his native Colombia he was Inspector General for Human Rights. He has also served as Deputy Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, Professor of Human Rights at Syracuse University in Madrid, and representative in Madrid of the Asociación Española de Derecho Internacional de los Derechos Humanos (AEDIDH) (Spanish Association of International Human Rights Law).
Dr. Valencia recently gave a talk about Genocides in History at Centro Sefarad-Israel in Madrid.
