ENGLISH CORNER, CON LINDA JIMÉNEZ – This week’s trivia question: How many listeners did Radio Sefarad have every day during the pandemic?
Radio Sefarad is a communication project of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Spain. This month we celebrate our 20th birthday, and so this week we are speaking with three people who have been instrumental in carrying out this project.
Alejandro Baer was one of the founders of Radio Sefarad and its first sub-director. He’s speaking with us about how the original idea came about and how the project was developed. He’ll also tell us about what the radio was like at the very beginning.
Raquel Cornago is a professional journalist. She started to work at Radio Sefarad when it was first founded and, after a hiatus of a few years when she was living in a different city, returned to Madrid and to the radio. She will tell us about both stages of her experience here.
Jorge Rozemblum has been the Director of Radio Sefarad for more than a decade. He will speak with us about the current programing and how the radio has changed over the years.
And if you are interested in listening to old programs, click on “Archivo histórico de Radio Sefarad” at the top of the page and you will see the three logos that are in the heading of this program with the dates of each. By clicking on them you will be able to access former programs according to date and section.
SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RADIO SEFARAD AND, AS JORGE SAYS, “TO A HUNDRED AND TWENTY”!
