The Academic Network against Antisemitism, with David Villar
ENGLISH CORNER, CON LINDA JIMÉNEZ – This week’s trivia question: What three strategies is the Network using to combat antisemitism?
Last month teachers, researchers and students from over a dozen Spanish universities and research institutions joined together to create the Academic Network against Antisemitism. The basic principles behind the Network are the respect for academic freedom, pluralism and mutual respect within the academic sphere. The organization is meant to be a collective voice responding to the dogmatism, censorship and manifestations of antisemitism that have become more evident in the universities since October 7.
This week we are speaking with David Villar, one of the founding members of the Network, about its objectives and activities, as well as the current situation of antisemitism on university campuses in Spain.
