ENGLISH CORNER, CON LINDA JIMÉNEZ – This week’s trivia question: Why did Amy Kurzweil name her graphic memoir Flying Couch?
Amy Kurzweil is a cartoonist and writer. Originally from the Boston area, she now lives in Brooklyn, New York. She recently published Flying Couch, a graphic memoir which tells the story of three generations of women in her family: her grandmother, a Holocaust survivor who escaped from the Warsaw ghetto; her mother, a psychologist; and herself, a young Jewish artist striving to understand herself and her family history.
Amy spoke with us about that history, and Flying Couch.
