The Orange County Jewish Community Scholar Program, with Arie Katz

ENGLISH CORNER, CON LINDA JIMÉNEZ – This week’s trivia question: How many online programs does CSP usually have every week?

The Orange County Jewish Community Scholar Program (OCCSP) was founded in 2001 as a community-wide endeavor committed to adult Jewish education and family Jewish celebrations. While their activities were originally in-person, this past year CSP has adapted to the pandemic by offering many programs online.  The programs are very varied and designed to appeal to a wide audience.https://occsp.net/

Arie Katz is founder and Chair of the CSP, where he has worked to bring over 125 of the greatest Jewish thinkers, artists, writers and entertainers in the world to Orange County, CA. He was also founder and leader of the Wandering Minyan, an egalitarian, participatory service in the Newport-Irvine area, affiliated with Congregation B’nai Israel of Tustin, CA. Katz holds a BA in economics from Princeton University and JD (cum laude) from Georgetown University Law Center.

This week he is speaking with us about the CSP and its many activities, which you can check out here.
