ENGLISH CORNER, CON LINDA JIMÉNEZ – This week we celebrate Passover and, in keeping with our holiday tradition here at English Corner, I’m going to read you a Passover story.
Its author, Jacob Frommer, lives in Maine with his family. He holds an MFA from the University of New Hampshire and is currently querying his first novel.
Our story, The Search for Ernesto Gonzales, is about a custom that is common among observant Jews: the selling of chometz before Passover. It was first published in Jewish Fiction, which is the only English-language journal, either in print or online, devoted exclusively to the publishing of Jewish fiction.
