Yuval Ron and Mindfulness Music for Kids

ENGLISH CORNER, CON LINDA JIMÉNEZ – This week’s trivia question: What do Yuval Ron’s music and stories have in common?

Yuval Ron is an internationally renowned World Music artist, composer, educator, peace activist, writer, lecturer and record producer. Graduating Cum Laude as a Film Scoring Major at Berklee College of Music in Boston, he has continuously researched various ethnic musical traditions and spiritual paths worldwide. Under his leadership, the music and dance group, The Yuval Ron Ensemble, has been actively involved in creating musical bridges between people of the Jewish, Muslim and Christian faiths. He has written many scores for TV, theater productions and films and collaborated with numerous film directors and choreographers.  He has won a number of prestigious awards for his work, including the Gold Medal Award for Best Spirituality Book at the Indie Book Awards in 2015 for his book Divine Attunement: Music as a path to Wisdom.

Yuval Ron has also collaborated with neuroscientists to explore the connection between sound and the brain and has worked with Metta Mindfulness Music to create music for medical and healing use in clinics and treatment centers.  His latest project, Kids Sanctuary, consists of three albums created to instill a sense of inner peace in children, using guided mindful listening, and guided mindfulness activities.
